Admissions

At Copford CofE Primary School, we appreciate that it isn’t always easy to know what to look for when choosing the right school for your child.  To help you make that decision we are very pleased to offer prospective parents and children the chance to an individual tour of Copford during the school day. We believe this will allow you to get a feel for the school and see what makes the Copford family so special. If you would like to arrange a tour, please contact the school office on 01206-210439. 

Entry to School: September 2025

Applications for children who celebrate their fifth birthday in between 1st September 2025 and 31st August 2026 need to be made to Essex County Council online, usually between the periods of 8th November and 15th January.

The local authority co-ordinates all the admissions for children of starting school age.

Mid-Year Admissions

Mid-year admissions: an application for a school place in any year group with the exception of children of starting school age in September.

All mid-year applications should be made directly to Essex County Council using the mid-year application form. Prior contact with the school to see if places are available are advised. 

For any application made into existing year groups, a place will only be offered if the number of pupils is below our published admission number of 30.
