Welcome to Copford CofE Primary School and thank you for taking time to look at our website. We highly value being a Church School ~ we are a caring and friendly school, where education of the whole child is central to all we strive to do. In addition to gaining academic skills and knowledge, your child will build confidence, develop self-reliance, make informed decisions and be able to articulate their feelings and ideas. The development of their social skills is also vital in helping them build good learning and personal relationships.
OUR CHRISTIAN VALUES
Our Christian values of Compassion, Courage, Friendship, Forgiveness, Justice, Peace and Trust underpin all that happens at Copford. They provide the foundations of our caring family atmosphere where every child can flourish both academically and socially and be supported in their personal, moral, social and spiritual development.
I will grow for tomorrow’s challenges ~ growing through God’s love

We held the official opening ceremony for the new Key Stage 2 block with many distinguished guests and as always some excellent ambassadors for the school—the children.
Priti Patel visited, having helped progress the project following her visit in 2020 to see the state of the demountable classrooms. There were representatives from the Local Authority to showcase the new style of building they want to become the norm, the new Director of Education for the Diocese, Graham Barney from the Parish Council and Representatives from TJ Evers were all present.
Katie Hanson (Chair of Governors) Cllr Ball (Essex County Council's Cabinet Member for Education), myself, Mervyn Denney (MD of TJ Evers , Priti Patel (MP) and David De’Ath (Vice Chair of Governors) held the ribbon for the Year 6 School Councillors to cut and officially open the building. The children then impressed our visitors as they toured the new block. All guests made comment about the confidence, politeness and eloquence of the children as well as commenting on the calm and impressive learning environments.
